Vikki
Founder
I set up The Cake Tasting Club in 2016 to share my love of traditionally made cakes which I have enjoyed making (and eating) since I was little. I love that our cakes now travel all over the UK, whether they are a treat sent to yourself or to a loved one to let them know you are thinking of them. Whilst I do try to turn my hand to all the tasks at Cake HQ my favourite job is the recipe testing and planning. I am really proud of the Advent Calendar which we introduced in 2020 which was a sell out.
I am very proud that we are the original cake subscription business and have received so much positive feedback since we began. One of my favourite things is receiving your photos and messages.
Donna
Baker
Donna has been with me from the start and I don’t know where I would be without her. She loves testing new bakes and creating new recipes and has been behind some of your favourites.
Donna is our brownie Queen and turns out hundreds of trays of perfect delicious brownies every month. Always smiling, her enthusiasm and knowledge is a key ingredient at Cake Club HQ.
Hayley
Baker
Our newest recruit but the most experienced member of the team. Hayley has joined us having been the bakery manager of a very famous high-street retailer for many years. Although Hayley has only been with us for a few months she has picked up all of our recipes to become an indispensable member of the team.
Lou
Bakery Assistant
Lou has been with us since 2019 and is a key member of the team. From baking, to packing Lou turns her hand to whatever needs doing.
Kathryn
Customer Services
My sister and administrator extraordinaire. Kathryn manages all customer service and is who you deal with should you have any queries or questions about your order. She is also a very accomplished baker learning, like me, from our mother when we were young. As a trained nutritionist, Kathryn is a mine of information and is always trying new recipes.
Jo
Baker
Jo has been with us since 2019. She is one of the hardest working people I have ever met and can turn her hand to any task. She has helped us refine processes to make the kitchen as efficient as it can be.
David
Maintenance Manager
My brother and our maintenance manager. He is an invaluable part of the team popping in to fix everything from IT to electrics to baking equipment in between his busy life working on a ship.
Grant
Chief Taster
My husband and self appointed Chief Taster. It is a tough job but someone has to do it. He also helps me with marketing and keeping me calm during particularly busy periods.
Katja Lelic
Katja is a printmaker who I first met a few years ago at a market in Lewes. I am so pleased that Katja agreed to design some beautiful artwork for us that we have now gone on to use on the Cake Club’s packaging, signage, uniform and as artwork for our cards. Everything has been created by hand by Katja using her intricate handmade papercuts. You can see more of Katja’s work over on Instagram.
